CBD IS SO HOT RIGHT NOW
And yet most people don’t seem to know what it is or where it comes from.
LET'S SORT THIS OUT
Most of the CBD you’ve been hearing about comes from hemp.
Hemp and marijuana are different, although they can look and smell nearly identical. Historically, their names and related terminology have been used interchangeably, which only adds to the confusion. (We have 50 years of prohibition to thank for that.)
To simplify things, hemp is cannabis that contains less than 0.3% THC (the psychoactive compound that gets you “high”) and may contain high percentages of CBD. Marijuana is cannabis that is grown specifically for its psychoactive properties and contains more THC, nowadays up to 20 to 30% (and little to no CBD).
Thanks to the updated 2018 Farm Bill, hemp and marijuana are legally recognized as different. Now, all cannabis that meets the THC requirements (less than 0.3%) is defined as hemp and is legal to grow, sell, ship, and consume.

CBD (cannabidiol) is one of over a hundred active compounds (known as cannabinoids) found in the hemp plant. CBD, in particular, has received so much attention because it has been found to help reduce anxiety and inflammation while enhancing overall wellness and wellbeing. Additionally, it has been found to relax the mind and assist with sleep issues. All of this without any mind-altering effects or the feeling of being “high”.
All of our hemp is carefully grown to have high levels of CBD using organic and sustainable farming practices.

Full-spectrum or raw hemp-based products contain all of the cannabinoids that are naturally found and available in the plant. These natural, unadulterated hemp products benefit from what’s known as the “entourage effect” where the cannabinoids work together to boost their health benefits. So the trace amounts of THC in our hemp flower actually help the CBD do its thing.
In contrast, products made with isolated CBD only contain CBD and don’t benefit from this effect.

How does the body make use of this stuff?
The human body has an endocannabinoid system that consists of lots of tiny receptors located all throughout our body that play a key role in regulating everything from:

-
OUR MOODS & EMOTIONS
-
SLEEP
-
DIGESTION
-
INFLAMMATION & PAIN PERCEPTION
-
IMMUNE SYSTEM FUNCTION
-
MUSCLE MOVEMENT
-
CARDIOVASCULAR FUNCTION
-
REPRODUCTIVE PROCESSES
CBD and other cannabinoids helps activate these receptors in order to stimulate all kinds of beneficial changes in the body. In comparison to other similar biological systems, our endocannabinoid system is one of the largest in the body, stretching from head to toe!
YOU COULD EVEN SAY OUR BODIES WERE MADE TO CONSUME AND BENEFIT FROM HEMP.
